Patriotic Strawberries

Super quick and easy to make and oh so delicious

What better way to celebrate summer and the 4th of July in the United States than with red, white and blue strawberries. Strawberries are in season and are naturally gluten free. Just make sure your white chocolate is also gluten free and you’re living the dream.

Note: I found the blue sugar crystals at Michael’s, but you can probably find it in any specialty store where you get cake making supplies.

1 pint strawberries, washed
1 cup gluten-free white chocolate chips
1/4 cup blue sugar sprinkles or edible glitter

Step 1 – Rinse and dry strawberries. Make sure they’re completely dry. Any moisture will change the consistency of the chocolate.

Step 2 – Melt chocolate in a microwave safe bowl for 1 minute at 50% power. Stir and return for another minute at 50% power until completely melted and smooth.

Step 3 – Pour sugar in shallow bowl. Dip bottom 2/3 strawberry in chocolate and let extra drip off. Dip bottom 1/3 in blue sugar crystals. Set on wax paper to dry.
